How do Chinese restaurants operate under quarantine?

Ethnically oriented restaurants are becoming increasingly popular in Ukraine. These can be both cafeterias with a new vision of our familiar cuisine (for example, borscht with prunes or dumplings made of black dough) and restaurants of different countries of the world. Chinese restaurants have gained special attention.

Many people prefer not only to visit restaurants with their families, but also to order delivery to their homes or offices. Interesting presentation of dishes, colorful combinations and attractive price policy are not the only advantages of such establishments. Every year more and more establishments with Asian cuisine open in Ukraine, only since the beginning of this year more than a third of all opened restaurants are dedicated to the theme of China.

Why are Chinese eateries so popular?

Ukrainians are attracted to Asian cuisine primarily by its unusual combinations. Tree mushrooms, noodles with various additives, pork in sweet and sour sauce, wontons and egg soup are only a small list of dishes gaining popularity. Visitors are attracted not only by the bright flavor combinations, but also by the interesting approach to cooking.

Almost all dishes are cooked for no more than an hour and at high temperatures. This approach makes it possible to preserve the maximum useful substances of any product used. The basis of many recipes is meat, fish, rice and legumes, so Chinese dishes are quite hearty. And the abundance of vegetables and various spices add lightness, you just do not convey. Another secret of Chinese cuisine – just use chopsticks and you will be able to eat less, satiation will come very quickly.

Additional popularity is added by the general trend towards following a healthy lifestyle. Minimal thermal processing, unique food combinations and an emphasis on variety in the diet have made Chinese cuisine so popular in our country, despite some differences in diet.

Current terms and conditions of Chinese restaurants

Like the entire restaurant business in the country, establishments with Chinese cuisine have been in limbo for the past six months. Initially, all public catering outlets were closed, then food delivery to homes and offices was allowed, subject to certain conditions, and summer sites were allowed to open.

With the onset of fall, not all points of the restaurant business were not able to withstand various quarantine measures and simply closed, but among them least of all establishments with Chinese cuisine.

Despite concerns about the country of origin of the virus, people are happy to eat dishes prepared by a real Chinese chef. Using products from verified suppliers, maintaining the necessary quarantine measures, not communicating with potential carriers – this is not a complete list of actions implemented on a daily basis.
