Eggplant and cheese are among the most popular ingredients in Asian cuisine, appearing in nearly half of all dishes. We invite you to try this simple yet original appetizer. It takes less than an hour to prepare, and the result will delight your friends and family with a pleasant surprise.
You will need a wok or a frying pan with high sides. This type of cookware is traditional for Asian cuisine, as it allows you to quickly fry food without losing valuable vitamins and reducing cooking time several times over.
First, prepare the eggplants. Wash them thoroughly and cut off the stems. Then cut each eggplant into thin slices. Calculate the thickness so that after frying, you can roll the slice into a roll without tearing it. Then salt the eggplants and leave them for a few minutes until they start to release juice. Dry them thoroughly with a paper towel.
Heat the oil in a pan, fry the eggplant slices separately until golden brown on each side, then blot them to remove excess fat.
The filling for the rolls is very easy to prepare. In a bowl, mix the cheese, grated cheese, garlic, herbs, chopped nuts, paprika, and other spices to taste. You can use a piping bag or a teaspoon to spread the filling.
The dish can be served as an appetizer or additional snack.
