Upon arriving in China, many people are surprised not only by the traditional cuisine, the abundance of strange desserts and the combination of incongruous things, but also by the many options for refreshing drinks. The country is accustomed to experimenting and combining previously unrelated products, so it’s easy to find the cocktail that you like.
Tea enjoys special appreciation and respect in China. Not only traditional tea tree leaves are used to make it, but also various flowers. Chrysanthemum is particularly popular for making tea. The finished drink is wonderfully refreshing and helps to get rid of malaise and colds. Chrysanthemum tea is soothing and is used instead of sedatives.
One of the traditional Taiwanese drinks is popular in many regions of China. It is milk tea. It is perfectly combined with various additives, and in summer it quenches thirst and cools down, as it is served not only hot but also cold with ice cubes. The most popular additives are tapioca bubbles and fruit.
And the most unusual thing is that in the summer heat, the Chinese can drink hot tea. It promotes increased sweating, pore expansion, and lower body temperature. This is a natural protection against overheating.
A traditional fruit drink made from Chinese plums with added sugar. It is so popular that it is sold on literally every corner in the country.
Soy milk is much more popular in China than cow’s milk. It tastes much sweeter, is perfectly refreshing, and stands out for its long shelf life. You can safely take it for long walks in the heat and not worry that its taste will deteriorate in a few hours.
Coconut milk is not to be confused with coconut content. Coconut milk is produced using coconut flakes that are infused in clean water and then filtered. The result is a sweetish drink that tastes very similar to coconut itself.
Mai Dong is a widespread isotonic in the regions of China. It helps not only to cope with thirst, but also to quickly restore strength and add energy even on the hottest day.
We should also mention C100 fruit water. Apart from plum juice, not everyone can afford to buy natural fruit juice or nectar. And not everyone likes standard carbonated drinks. That’s why we created a line of bottled fruit water that perfectly quenches thirst.
The list of summer drinks that are popular in China doesn’t end there, but these are the variants that are considered traditional and are especially appreciated in many regions of the country.
